It all started on an afternoon in May 1997 when we were having a cup of coffee after work and the discussion turned to the Internet and the lack of support for Franklin County businesses.  Discussion turned to what it costs to have and maintain a presence on the Internet.  After some investigation into what was being charged we decided to rent some server space and try creating our own website.  We decided on the name Nutt-In 2000 because there is nothing (Nutt-In) typical about either of us and 2000 because it sounded good (Actually because all this hype about the Y2K problem).  In July after learning the ropes of Web Design and Hosting we took on our first customer Vermont Computer Support - VCS.  Word quickly spread and by September we had several customers.  In late September we decided to request official business status and submitted our paperwork to the Secretary of State's Office in Montpelier, Vermont.  On November 17, 1997 Nutt-In 2000 LLC was recognized as a business by the State of Vermont.  The following paragraphs express our value system and our beliefs concerning the running of our business.  We hope you enjoy our site and the sites of our customers.

     We are located in Northwestern Vermont. We believe that you can have the best product in the world but if no one can afford it, the product will fail. We can keep our prices low because we have the equipment, software and experience to design, maintain and host simple to moderately complex web pages. We would like to make the possibility of your presence on the World Wide Web affordable, enjoyable and easy.

     Not everyone can afford the commercial rates charged by the larger Web Design and Hosting services not to mention obtaining and paying for a domain name. With many of the other services the client must create their own pages and maintain their own site.

     Many people and businesses would love to have a site on the Web but either don't know how to go about it or don't have the software, experience, or time required to maintain a Web Site. Having a presence on the web should not be expensive or difficult.

     Knowing our costs and knowing what is involved in creating and maintaining a Web Domain allows us to offer you a presence on the Web at very affordable prices.
